CDP, together with Proforest and ISEAL, highlight practical and concrete recommendations and experiences that companies are taking to engage on landscape and jurisdictional approaches. In this session, Proforest shared lessons from their Africa landscape programme in Asunafo-Asutifi with Peru. The virtual meeting marked the beginning of a series of exchanges on best practices in sustainability at the level of agroforestry landscapes. Proforest hope to contribute to the conservation of forests and to generate opportunities in the field, especially for small producers.

This session explored how different jurisdictions have pursued their green prosperity agenda and identified factors that contribute to the advancement and opportunities for investment. Discussions highlighted how business leaders can play an essential part in reversing deforestation through sustainable commodity supply chains that advance the climate agenda.

Within this webinar, participants learned how the Jurisdictional Approach (JA) encourages collective action across multiple stakeholders to drive change at scale. Reflecting on a Theory of Change (ToC) about how JA works - developed by by ISEAL, Proforest, Tropical Forest Alliance, and WWF - the speakers discussed how the ToC can be put into action to help achieve sustainable land use.

This event explored how ensuring high quality in tropical forest credits, including through establishing REDD+ jurisdictional and nested systems, can mobilize finance to protect and restore forests at scale, while supporting and respecting the rights of indigenous peoples and local communities.
