In this session, Proforest shared lessons from their Africa landscape programme in Asunafo-Asutifi with Peru. The virtual meeting marked the beginning of a series of exchanges on best practices in sustainability at the level of agroforestry landscapes. Proforest hope to contribute to the conservation of forests and to generate opportunities in the field, especially for small producers.

This session explored how different jurisdictions have pursued their green prosperity agenda and identified factors that contribute to the advancement and opportunities for investment. Discussions highlighted how business leaders can play an essential part in reversing deforestation through sustainable commodity supply chains that advance the climate agenda.

Within this webinar, participants learned how the Jurisdictional Approach (JA) encourages collective action across multiple stakeholders to drive change at scale. Reflecting on a Theory of Change (ToC) about how JA works - developed by by ISEAL, Proforest, Tropical Forest Alliance, and WWF - the speakers discussed how the ToC can be put into action to help achieve sustainable land use.

This event explored how ensuring high quality in tropical forest credits, including through establishing REDD+ jurisdictional and nested systems, can mobilize finance to protect and restore forests at scale, while supporting and respecting the rights of indigenous peoples and local communities. This webinar focused on the progress and findings from the development of the socio-economic development Amazon Now State Plan, launched by Pará government at COP-25 in Madrid, as well as highlighting ground-level initiatives from the public and private sectors that both offer opportunities to scale solutions linked to the bioeconomy; and present innovative solutions to address commodity-related deforestation.

This dialogue brought together JA stakeholders to share experiences, best practices and identified common approaches that demonstrated advancement of investment into jurisdictions.

Focusing on community-based forest management models, including social forestry, that landscape practitioners are taking in CSL's two district initiatives – Aceh Tamiang and Tapanuli Selatan, this webinar highlighted opportunities to achieve forest positive goals and jurisdictional sustainability.
