This webinar aims to build an understanding of the available tools to assist companies to initiate and take more landscape-scale action. The webinar starts with a presentation of these available tools which include a map of landscape and jurisdictional initiatives and multi-stakeholder processes and platforms developed by the Tropical Forest Alliance (TFA) and CDP. As well as a company roadmap developed by ISEAL, designed to demonstrate how companies can credibly engage in or support landscape and jurisdictional efforts based on a series of joint position papers from the landscape and jurisdictional practitioner community.
Following this, Tom Hollick from Tesco introduces the Consumer Goods Forum’s Forest Positive Coalition of Action, and shares how Tesco is taking action to help achieving sustainable land use in production landscapes. John Buchanan, then introduces Conservation International’s (CI) work in landscapes, and shares experiences of how they are supporting companies to make their first landscape investments. The webinar concludes with a panel discussion where panelists share their perspectives on the business case for companies to take landscape-scale action, how this can help with compliance with the European Union’s Deforestation Regulation and advice for companies looking to make their first investments in landscape and jurisdictional initiatives.
