Sustainable Commodities & Collaboration: Jurisdictional Investment Outlook Kubu Raya Regency 2023

This publication aims to promote, inform, and attract domestic and foreign investments to Kubu Raya district in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. It highlights local government policies supportive of green growth and provides a list of potential investment opportunities, including in sustainable palm oil, coconut, and rubber, as well as sustainable peatland management and ecotourism.

The document also provides an outline of the operational strategy designed to support the acceleration of green growth in the region, which is called the Strategy and Action Plan for Accelerating Green Growth (SRAK PPH). A total of seven strategies are contained in the document which include the promotion of forest protection to prevent deforestation, increasing the productivity of strategic commodities in the region and creating incentives and added value in the commodity supply chain. The document concludes with a matrix of all the key commodities in the Kubu Raya Regency, with details of key stakeholders and of each investment initiative. The publication was developed in collaboration with partners including TFA, IDH and WWF.
