Financing Sustainable Landscapes for People and Nature

This factsheet provides information on the Landscape Resilience Fund (LRF) and gives the details of two selected LRF landscapes in Vietnam and Ghana. The LRF is an impact-driven, independent foundation that mobilises private and public climate finance for vulnerable smallholders and landscapes. The LRF has a dedicated funding window for sustainable landscape development, alongside windows for SME investments and technical assistance, and funds a range of landscape-level activities in its landscapes.

The LRF has supported two selected landscapes, the Central Annamites in Vietnam, and the Kakum Landscape in Ghana. It outlines selected LRF activities in each location, such as the organisation of a multi-stakeholder platform and training for 23 SMEs focused on developing green business plans in Vietnam. As well as the development of a landscape monitoring framework and the ongoing local support for the LRF’s first investment, Koa Impact.

The LRF is a public-private partnership that aims to mobilise USD 100 million by 2026 for climate adaptation projects that support sustainable agricultural and forestry supply chains and that improve the resilience of smallholder farmers in developing countries.
