The film, produced by BBC Storyworks for CGF, highlights the need for companies to engage in production landscapes, a key component of the CGF’s Forest Positive Coalition of Action Theory of Change to drive transformational change by removing deforestation, forest degradation and conversion from supply chains.
The film focuses on the Siak Pelalawan Landscape Programme (SPLP), developed by a coalition of palm oil producers, traders, and buyers to assist the Siak and Pelalawan districts of Riau province in Indonesia to achieve sustainable land use. The Coalition made a modest collective investment in the programme in end 2020, the first step in translating its commitment for landscape engagement into action.
