Guidance on the Forest Positive Beef Roadmap

Version 1.2 Developed by the CGF Forest Positive Coalition of Action

This guidance document offers practical information on the execution of the Forest Positive Beef Roadmap from the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) Forest Positive Coalition of Action. The document offers technical advice for businesses that are striving to source beef more responsibly and sustainably. The guidance is broken down into five elements:

1. Managing own supply chains
2. Engaging suppliers and meatpackers
3. Monitoring and response
4. Engaging in production landscapes
5. Increasing transparency and accountability

As part of element four ‘Engaging in Production Landscapes’ the guidance offers key actions, guidance on implementation as well as resources for companies looking to engage at this level. The key actions involve selecting which landscape initiatives to support, calculating your production footprint, leveraging collective engagement and monitoring and reporting progress.

The Guidance on the Forest Positive Beef Roadmap were developed by the Coalition’s Beef Working Group and is open to consultation from stakeholders. It provides guidance and resources for manufacturers and retailers implementing the actions in the Beef Roadmap.
