In particular, this alliance wants to transform the management of sustainable landscapes, with water security and low greenhouse gas emissions. Comprehensive management of biodiversity and ecosystem services and monitoring towards long-term resilience will be implemented, with improvements in livelihoods and promoting competitive and equitable development based on sustainability.
This document is the result of a collective exercise between 2019 and 2020. A first version carried out by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) was reviewed and adjusted in a small group made up of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), Banco World, Asorinoquia and TNC. On November 18, 2019, the version was reviewed during a Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue, an event in which 32 organizations and institutions participated. This latest version, produced in June 2020, contains the settings and add-ons requested at that event. It is considered a key document for the formation of the Pact and a fundamental basis to continue its consolidation.
