The fourth and last annual meeting of the Rural Development Committee of the Chapadinha Microregion (CDR) was held on December 3, 2025. The event brought together municipal secretaries of agriculture and institutional partners that make up the regional governance. The meeting aimed to strengthen the dialogue between the municipalities, promote the exchange of experiences and advance in the construction of collective strategies for the sustainable development of the territory.
During the event, actions developed throughout the year by the municipalities that make up the region were presented, and initiatives that contributed to the strengthening of family production, social organization and improvements in rural management were highlighted. In addition, the Committee made progress in discussions regarding its formalization process, an essential step to consolidate its strategic activities in the region.
The presentation panels ended with the results of the public procurement workshops held in 2025, including PNAE and SOCIOBIO+, actions made possible with financial support from GIZ and carried out by IPAM and Conserv consultancy through the GIZ Sustainable Chains Project and the government of Maranhão
The workshops contributed to broadening the understanding of institutional markets and strengthening local capacities for the productive inclusion of farming families.
