MoU Signatures

This story is related to the landscape initiative “Western Mato Grosso”, and originally published on SourceUp.

The Western Mato Grosso Landscape Initiative has achieved a significant milestone, with five out of six participating municipalities now having formalized partnerships through the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).

After the first MoUs were signed in 2024 with Tangará da Serra, Diamantino, and Alto Paraguai, new agreements were established in 2025 with the municipalities of Sapezal and Campos de Júlio.

These partnerships reinforce local commitment to sustainable rural development and strengthen collaboration between municipal governments and the implementing institutions — Instituto PCI, Proforest, Produzindo Certo, and IPAM. Together, they aim to promote actions that integrate agricultural production, forest conservation, and social inclusion across western Mato Grosso.
